Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president. He was voted into office in 1933, and served four terms in office. He had been a very successful president to our nation. He had helped America through the Great Depression and World War II. He also aided in the creation of the Manhattan project. He was a successful and honorable man, yet an even greater president.
It all started out when Franklin D. Roosevelt ran for state senate when he was only 29. Unfortunately Mr. Roosevelt was stricken with polio in 1921. Although he was partially paralyzed he always believed he would recover. His involvement in politics would be key in his reconvert. Mr. Roosevelt's wife was very supportive during this time because she helped him with his health and kept the Roosevelt name strong in the politico Democratic party. Mr. Roosevelt ran for the governor of New York under the encouragement of Alfred E. Smith, who he nominated for president twice. Mr. Roosevelt won the election and became the governor of New York. Many thought he had more experience and appreciated life more since overcoming his health obstacles. Becoming governor of New York has helped him secure the nomination for presidency in 1932. Later on, Mr. Roosevelt won the election and was declare the 32nd president of the United States of America.Immediately after getting Inaugurated into office, Mr. Roosevelt implemented the New Deal to help America recover from the Great Depression. Roosevelt began his third term of presidency in 1941, he was the first president to go over the two term tradition, during this term Roosevelt helped implement the Manhattan project. It was during this term that he also endured a great lose along with America when pearl harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. In 1944, despite poor health Roosevelt ran for his fourth term of presidency. Roosevelt won and he was the only president to serve four consecutive terms as president. President Franklin D.
